Pomona, NJ: Richard Stockton (9-1-1, 3-0) shut out Ramapo (3-4-1, 1-2) 4-0 in an NJAC match today for its sixth consecutive win. Samantha Bean (Manchester, NJ), Veronica Yezo (Toms River, NJ), Laura O'Shea (Petersburg, NJ) and Katelyn Reiter (Union, NJ) scored one goal apiece for the Ospreys, who are unbeaten in their last nine games (8-0-1).
Stockton goalkeeper Alex Rogers (Medford, NJ) made two saves for her fifth shutout of the season. Ramapo goalie
Jessica DaRold (Sayreville, NJ) registered six saves in the game.
Bean scored the only goal that Stockton would need late in the first half at 40:49 with an assist by Courtney Dougherty (Ocean City, NJ). The Ospreys broke the game open with three more goals in the second half. Yezo hit the back of the net just 52 seconds into the period, assisted by Kim Mancini (Toms River, NJ), for a 2-0 Stockton lead.
O'Shea followed with a goal assisted by Shelley Gibney (Shamong, NJ) at 63:35. Reiter capped the 4-0 victory with a tally assisted by Sara Petersen (Beachwood, NJ) with just 6:39 remaining in the game.
On Wednesday, Stockton will host Rowan at 6:00 PM in the first game of an NJAC women's and men's soccer doubleheader against the Profs. Ramapo will travel to New Jersey City on Wednesday for an NJAC game at 4:00 PM.
