Marilee Farmer (Toms River, NJ) drove a two-run homerun over the center field fence leading the #2 seeded Roadrunners to a NJAC opening round victory over the #5 seeded Cougars of Kean University. Ramapo (33-8) advances to play the #4 seeded Lions of TCNJ on Friday, May 2nd at the Montclair State Softball Complex in Montclair, NJ at 4:00pm. Kean (28-13) will face #6 William Paterson at 11:00am.

Senior pitcher
Katie Norton (Livingston, NJ) struck out only one in the complete game earning her 13th win of the year (13-3). Norton did not give up a walk and gave up only eight hits in the game.
Senior Kristen Hennings (Jackson, NJ) pitched the complete game for the Cougars. She records the loss to fall to 5-6 overall, striking out one and walking one. She let up eight hits and two runs in the loss.
Farmer went 1-3 with one run and two RBI while

Rachel Wong (Livingston, NJ), and
Lauren Cascino (New Windsor, NJ) hit 1-2, 1-3, and 1-3 respectively. Schriber and Ashley O'Rourke (Pequannock, NJ) also hit 1-3 in the team's 33rd win of the year.
Kean's Katie Hicks (Medford Lakes, NJ) hit a perfect 3-3 while Johanna Hedler (South Plainfield, NJ) and Jesse Buchanan (Washington Twp., NJ) went 1-4. Junior Sara Steinman (Springfield, NJ) hit 2-3 in the loss.
