Kissimmee, FL: The Ramapo College softball team defeated Baldwin-Wallace College 6-2 in game one before shutting out Lake Forest College 14-0 in five innings.
In game one the Roadrunners got on the board in the top of the fourth inning when senior captain

Marilee Farmer (Toms River, NJ) ripped a single up the middle to put Ramapo on top 1-0. Junior
Kelly Schriber (Monclair, NJ) singled before rookie
Brittney McKeon (Toms River, NJ) grounded out to the second basemen to advance the runners. Junior
Amanda Sansevere (Hazlet, NJ) recorded a hard single to left field plating Farmer and rookie pinch runner
Jaclyn Giangrande (Belleville, NJ) for a 3-0 lead.
The Yellow Jackets scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning with the help of two Ramapo errors to come within one run.
Sansevere singled to center to start off the seventh inning and was sacrificed to second by senior
Kendall Patton (Hammonton, NJ) before sophomore
Katie Donnelly (North Haldeon, NJ) slapped an infield single to put runners at the corners. Donnelly stole second before rookie pinch hitter
Stephanie Malgeri (Montville, NJ) laced a ball to left centerfield that was misplayed, scoring two more runs for Ramapo. Cascino singled to right field to bring home Malgeri for a 6-2 lead.
Donnelly was 3-4 with one run scored while Cascino went 2-3 with one run scored and one RBI and Farmer went 2-4 with one run scored and one RBI. Sansevere finished the game 2-3 with one run scored and two RBI.
Senior right-hander
Heather Camb (Totowa, NJ) pitched five complete innings, giving up only five hits while striking out five. Rookie
Kristina Jimenez (West Milford, NJ) followed with two innings of work to pick up her first save of the season.
In game two Ramapo scored 12 runs in the bottom of the first inning as they batted around. Donnelly scored the first run from third base on a sacrifice fly to centerfield from Farmer before four more runs came in as a result of three walks and a hit by pitch when the bases were loaded. The bases were loaded once again for rookie
Rachel Wong (Livingston, NJ) as she singled home two runs before Cascino doubled home one more run to make it 8-0. They would tack on two more runs as Farmer hit a single up the middle to plate Cascino and Wong. Junior
Kelly Schriber (Montclair, NJ) capped off the inning by driving a pitch over the left centerfield fence for a two-run homerun for a 12-0 lead going into the second inning.
Ramapo scored two more runs in the second and third innings for a 14-0 lead. Rookie
Deanna Giordano (Clifton, NJ) picked up the win for Ramapo, striking out one and giving up only two hits over four innings of work. Fellow rookie
Lyndsay Buehler (River Vale, NJ) closed out the game in the fifth inning, striking out two in relief.
Roadrunners return to action tomorrow at the Rebel Spring Games taking on Mount Union at 3:00 PM and Heidleberg College at 5:00 PM.
