Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team improved to 7-2 overall today with a 5-4 victory over Adelphi University.
Kristine Austria (Jersey City, NJ) posted Ramapo's first point at 3rd singles defeating Megan Margino, 6-0, 6-7, (7-2), before Liza Wyble (Millville, NJ) and Jennifer Finaldi (West Milford, NJ) posted back-to-back singles victories over Jamie Sussman and Tricia Burns respectively. Wyble won 2-6, 6-0, 6-2 and Finaldi followed with a 6-4, 6-4 victory.
Finaldi paired up with Lindsay Gerhard (Cape May, NJ) at 2nd doubles and Becky Drexl (Franklin, NJ) and Ashley Wnek (Colonia, NJ) at 3rd doubles earning Ramapo's last two points to take home the win. Both pairs earned 8-2 victories.
Ramapo returns to action on Friday, October 5th when they travel to Western Connecticut at 4:00 PM.
