Mahwah, NJ: The Scarlet Raptors women's soccer team visited the Athletic Center at Ramapo College today earning a 1-0 victory over the Roadrunners to improve to 12-7 overall, 5-4 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Ramapo falls to 8-6-3 overall, 2-4-2 in the conference.
After a scoreless first half, junior midfielder Katie O'Connor (Sewell, NJ) gave the Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers Camden a 1-0 lead when she connected with senior back Erin Boiler (Medford, NJ) at 65:22. Ramapo ripped two shots in the last 45 minutes but were unable to capitalize falling, 0-1 in a must win match-up.
Ramapo posted seven total shots behind Rutgers Camden's eight.
Senior goal tender CHRISTY TURNER (Ringwood, NJ) recorded four saves with the lone goal against in the full 90 minutes. Therese Comella (Delran, NJ) earns the shut out posting three saves in the win.
The Roadrunners will travel to Rowan University tomorrow, October 27th for a 7:00 PM start.
