Mahwah , NJ : The Ramapo College women's tennis team dropped the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island , 9-0 today in Mahwah. Ramapo improves to 4-1 overall while CSI drops to 1-1.

In singles action, ANDREA TESTA (West Orange, NJ) posted a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Geraldine Thomas (Staten Island, NY) while ERIN MCDOWELL (Prospect Park, NJ) and MELISSA JUELL (West Milford, NJ) followed with 6-0, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-0 wins respectively. JOSIE TRIPODI (Cliffside Park, NJ) added a 6-1, 6-0 singles win while rookie LINDSAY GERHARD (Cape May, NJ) shut out Mary Hanna (Staten Island, NY) 6-0, 6-0. BECKY DREXL (Franklin , NJ ) rounded out singles action with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Margaret Borzymowski (Mragowo , Poland ).

Sophomores JENNIFER MURPHY (Whiting, NJ) and HOLLIS GRANT (East Brunswick, NJ) paired up at first doubles dropping the CSI pair, 8-4 while JUELL and ASHLEY WNEK (Colonia, NJ) posted an 8-1 victory in the second spot. GERHARD and GABRIELLE GONZALEZ (Middletown , NJ ) finished the match-up with a shut out doubles victory over Mariya Chesnokova (Brooklyn , NY ) and Borzymowski.

The Roadrunners will travel to the College of St. Elizabeth on Tuesday, September 21 at 3:30 PM .
