Game 1: #4 Union vs. #5 College of Staten Island

Staten Island took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 2nd when sophomore Theresa Tepedino (Staten Island , NY ) led off with a walk and later scored on a single to right by Kristina Samaritano (Staten Island , NY ). Union tied the game and took the lead in the 3rd after Jackie Coffey (Boston , MA ) and Alicia Gifford (Schenectady , NY ) ripped back-to-back singles with one out and came home on a wild pitch and a stolen base respectively. Abby Arceneaux (Mechanville, NY) hit the sac fly to center driving in Beth Carcone (Utica, NY) to take a 3-1 lead over the Dolphins. In the top of the 7th, CSI added one run after a lead off single by Samaritano who then scored on a double to left by Jennifer Doscher (Staten Island , NY ), and the tying, 3-3 run on a single by Christina D'Arpa (Staten Island , NY ) scoring Doscher. Katie Ratner (Smithtown , NY ) hit a lead off single down the third base line, advanced on an error and later scored on a single over the first basemen's head by Gifford, dropping the Dolphins, 4-3 in 10 innings.

Gifford hit 2-5 with one run and one RBI while Coffey posted two hits on four at bats with one run in the game. Ratner scored a run and Carcone added the fourth for the Dutchwomen. Coffey earns the win improving to 11-2 striking out six and walking two in ten innings. Coffey let up seven hits and three runs, all three earned. D'Arpa falls to 4-5 with the loss, striking out four and walking four in 9 1/3 innings. D'Arpa let up eights hits and four runs, all earned.

Game 2: #2 Ramapo vs. #3 Allegheny

Ramapo jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st after sophomores Erica Moore (Hazlet , NJ ) and Andrea Pastiglione (Southern California , CA) connected a lead off single and a double to center. Senior pitcher Jamie Anzaldi (Clifton , NJ ) struck out seven in the game, letting up no hits earning the win, improving to 20-5. Sophomore pitcher Giannina Coccaro (Miami , FL ) pitched the complete game striking out seven and walking one. Coccaro falls to 12-6.

Moore hit 2-3 with one run and Pastiglione records the RBI hitting 1-3.

Game 3: #1 Moravian vs. #4 Union

In the 1st, Moravian's Heather Bortz (Allentown, PA) was hit by a pitch to lead off, advanced on a passed ball, and later scored on a sac fly to right by Janelle Brey (Allentown, PA) taking a 1-0 lead over Union. The Dutchwomen tied the score after connecting three singles at the start of the 2nd loading the bases with no outs. Colleen White (Westport , CT ) ripped one to left, Julie Gawronski (Dunkirk , NY ) drove one to right, and Ratner added a third with a bunt to the pitcher. Stephanie Rubino (Port Chester , NY ) hit a sac fly to left scoring White, the tying run, 1-1. White hit a second lead off single in the 4th, and came home on a sac fly to center posting the go ahead run, 2-1. Moravian fought back in the bottom of the inning posting four runs taking a 5-2 lead. Leah Holmes (Clarks Green, PA) hit a lead off single, and with one out, Bortz, Lauren Homa (Chalfont , PA ), and Brey connected three singles driving in the tying, go ahead, and insurance runs defeating Union , 5-2 in Mahwah.

Brey hit 2-3 with one run and three RBI while Homa batted 1-3 with one run. Bortz hit a perfect 1-1 scoring two runs and Melissa Soroka (Newton , NJ ), Richelle McWilliams (Riegelsville , PA ), and Danielle Carrione (Bloomfield , NJ ) went 2-4 in the victory. Meagan Hennessy (Freehold, NJ) earned the win improving to 18-2 and Arceneaux recorded the loss falling to 11-3. Hennessy pitched the complete game striking out one and walking two, letting up six hits and two runs while Arceneaux pitched six innings striking out three and walking two.

Game 4: #3 Allegheny vs. #5 Staten Island

The game remained scoreless until the 4th inning when April Tantalo (Pittsburg , PA ) hit a lead off double and later scored as Sarah Johnston (Renfrew , PA ) reached on an error by the pitcher giving Allegheny a 1-0 lead. With two outs in the bottom of the inning, CSI's Theresa Caputo (Staten Island , NY ) hit a single to second base and came home after Andrea Meise (Staten Island , NY ) reached on an error, tying the game at one run a piece. Rookie Melissa Brockett (Albion, PA) ripped a three-run home run over the left field in the 6th giving Allegheny a 4-1 lead and the game, eliminating the Dolphins from the tournament.

Caputo records the loss falling to 10-7 striking out two in seven innings while Tracie Gaydos (Sarver , PA ) earns the win improving to 10-8. Gaydos struck out four and walked one pitching the complete game.

Caputo hit 1-3 with one run while Doscher recorded one run of her own. For the Gators, Tantalo hit 1-4 with one run while Christine Harvey (Sweet Valley , PA ) and Brockett batted 2-3 and 1-3 with one run and three RBI respectively.
