Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team faced the Lions of The College of New Jersey today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners were shut down, 0-9, falling to 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the NJAC while the Lions improve to 2-0 overall, 1-0 in the conference.

Jackie Gavornik (Millington, NJ), Kristen Turturiello (Berkeley Heights, NJ), Katie Richards (Westfield, NJ), and Ayumi Yamazaki (Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ) all posted 6-0, 6-0 shutout singles victories for the Lions while teammates Kristen Klepacki (Moorestown, NJ) and Katie D'Amato (Randolph, NJ) recorded 6-3, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-2 wins respectively.

In doubles action, Klepacki and Gavornik and Richards and D'Amato posted 8-0 wins and Turturiello and Karen Shih (Middletown, NJ) added an 8-1 win for the team.

The Roadrunners will host Drew University on Tuesday, September 23rd at 4:00 PM
