Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College Roadrunners dropped the Valiants of Manhattanville College today at the Athletic Center, 8-1. Ramapo tennis improves to 4-1 overall while Manhattanville records their first loss of the season falling to 2-1 overall.
Rookies JENNIFER MURPHY (Whiting, NJ), ERIN MCDOWELL (Prospect Park, NJ), and HOLLIS GRANT (Poughkeepsie, NJ) all posted singles victories dropping the Manhattanville women, 6-0, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2, and 6-2, 6-0 respectively. ANDREA TESTA (West Orange, NJ) added her own 6-1, 7-6 (10-8) singles win while TINA MULLER (Bedminster, NJ) rounded out the singles victories with a shutout win, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles action, GRANT and MURPHY paired up defeating the Manhattanville duo, 8-3 while TESTA and JOSIE TRIPODI (Cliffside Park, NJ) and LAUREN DOOLEY (Sayreville, NJ) and GABRIELLE GONZALES (Middletown, NJ) added their own 8-3 victories for the team.
Ramapo will host The College of New Jersey tomorrow at 1:00 PM.
