Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team played host to the Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers Camden today at the Athletic Center. After 110:00 minutes of play, Ramapo and Rutgers Camden stood at 2-2. Ramapo now stands at 5-4-2 overall, 1-3-1 NJAC and the Scarlet raptors stand at 6-3-2 overall, 2-2-1 in the conference.
MEGHAN FARRELL (Monroe Township) hit the back of the net in the 23rd minute after being awarded a penalty kick taking a 1-0 lead. Rutgers Camden tied the game at 26:08 and took the lead at 44:46 with goals from senior Christina Donato (Cherry Hill, NJ) and Melissa Ulrick (Pitman, NJ) respectively. Jocelyn Page (West Deptford, NJ), Rachel Greenwald (West Deptford, NJ), and Erin Boiler (Medford, NJ) all chipped in assists for the team. Ramapo tied the game with 20 minutes left in regulation when rookie CHRISTINA ANDREYKO (Manville, NJ) connected with a cross from FARRELL ending the game tied at two.
Sophomore goalkeepers CHRISTY TURNER (Ringwood, NJ) and ANDREA ORTADO (East Brunswick, NJ) split time in the net recording 14 saves while Tracy Winter (West Deptford, NJ) and Tracy Stonaker (Cinnaminson, NJ) also split time combining for 16 saves.
The Roadrunners will host Centenary on Wednesday, October 8th at 4:30 PM.
