Mahwah, NJ: Drew University defeated Ramapo College in a women's tennis match today at the Athletic Center, ending Ramapo's season at 14-4 overall. Drew now stands at 11-2 overall.

Abby Woodhead (Woodstock, VT) defeated freshman ERIN MCDOWELL (Prospect Park, NJ) in straight sets 6-4, 6-0 ending MCDOWELL's first year season at 8-5. Drew also posted wins in 4th singles as Erin Jessen (Bayonne, NJ) beat JOSIE TRIPODI (Cliffside Park, NJ) 6-2, 6-2. Ramapo recorded their lone point at 6th singles when TINA MULLER (Bedminster, NJ) posted a 4-6, 7-6, (10-5) victory.

In doubles action Drew swept all three matches posting a shutout victory at 1st singles, Woodhead and Anne Luetzow (West Chester, PA) over ANDREA TESTA (West Orange, NJ) and TRIPODI. Drew also added a shutout victory at 3rd doubles, LAUREN DOOLEY (Sayreville, NJ) and GABRIELLE GONZALEZ (Middletown, NJ)
