Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team played host to the Bloodhounds of John Jay College today at the Athletic Center. Ramapo recorded their 12th win of the season posting an 8-1 victory. John Jay falls to 8-4 overall while Ramapo stands at 12-3.
In singles action, ANDREA TESTA (West Orange, NJ) defeated Leisel Amow (Brooklyn, NY) 6-0, 6-2 at first singles. HOLLIS GRANT (East Brunswick, NJ) posted a 6-4, 6-1 victory for the team while JENNIFER MURPHY (Whiting, NJ) and TINA MULLER (Bedminster, NJ) added 6-1, 6-3 and 6-1, 6-0 wins respectively. At sixth singles, LAUREN DOOLEY (Sayreville, NJ) brought in a 6-1, 6-1 point.
GRANT and MURPHY paired up dropping the John Jay pair, 8-3 at first doubles while TESTA and JOSIE TRIPODI (Cliffside Park, NJ) and DOOLEY and GABRIELLE GONZALES (Middletown, NJ) followed with 8-0 and 8-1 victories respectively.
Ramapo will host Georgian Court on Friday, October 17th at 4:00 PM.
