Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College Roadrunners played host to the Ospreys of Stockton College today at the Athletic Center. Stockton shut out Ramapo, 9-0 improving to 8-1 overall, 4-1 NJAC. Ramapo falls to 10-3 overall, 2-2 in the conference.
Victoria Rosenfield (Northfield, NJ) posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory over junior ANDREA TESTA (West Orange, NJ) at first singles while Andrea Lilley (National Park, NJ) and Kristen Tukel (Morris Plains, NJ) added 6-1, 6-1 and 6-3, 7-5 singles victories respectively. Kate Ciocciola (Somerdale, NJ), Kelley Chin (Clark, NJ), and Caitlin McMahon (Millville, NJ) rounded out the singles wins recording 6-1, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2, and 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) victories respectively.
In doubles action, Rosenfield and Tukel defeated JENNIFER MURPHY (Whiting, NJ) and HOLLIS GRANT (East Brunswick, NJ) and Lilley and Ciocciola downed MELISSA JUELL (West Milford, NJ) and ERIN MCDOWELL (Prospect Park, NJ) both 8-2. LAUREN DOOLEY (Sayreville, NJ) and GABRIELLE GONZALES (Middletown, NJ) fell to Chin and McMahon, 8-3.
The Roadrunners will host Kean University tomorrow at noon.
