Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team fell to Stevens Tech, 6-1, in their opening game of the season today at the Athletic Center. The Ramapo Roadrunners now stand at 0-1 overall while Stevens stands at an overall record of 1-0.
Freshman, JESSICA STOVEKEN (Lyndhurst, NJ) scored the loan goal for the team with two minutes remaining in the match. 
Sophomore, Valerie Barnhart (Gilbertsville, PA), led the Ducks of Stevens Tech with three goals while Melissa Shankweiler (Catasauqua, PA), Rebecca Quinn (Damascus, MD) and Jessica Solyysik (Pennsauken, NJ) each added one of their own.
CHRISTY TURNER (Ringwood, NJ) recorded seven saves in 90 minutes for the Roadrunners while Steven's Rommy Guevara (Kearny, NJ) blocked four in 45 minutes.
The Roadrunners will travel to the Gwynned Mercy Tournament on September 7th and 8th at 2:00 PM.
