Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College Roadrunners dropped a 4-12 decision to the Dominican Chargers today at Jeff Maund Field at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners fall to 10-11 overall while the Chargers improve to 13-9-2 overall.

Dominican took a 3-1 1st inning lead and never looked back scoring one in the 5th, two in the 6th, and six in the 8th dropping the Roadrunners, 12-4. Rookie AARON EYLER (Edison, NJ), RYAN PAXTON (Long Valley, NJ), SHAUN BURSTEIN (Beachwood, NJ), and KEVIN RIEBESELL (Clifton, NJ) scored the only four runs for the team. EYLER hit 3-5 with one run and one RBI while RIEBESELL went 1-1 with one run scored. PAXTON went 1-3 with a double and BURSTEIN went 2-3.

For the Chargers, Rich Salerno (White Plains, NY) led the way hitting 2-5 with two runs and four RBI. Junior Larry Villar (Pomona, NY) went 3-5 with a double and two singles, two runs and two RBI.

Robert Teta (Troy, NY) earned the win (2-1) in 6 1/3 innings for Dominican striking out two, walking two, and letting with two runs, both earned. Sophomore JOHN FRANKEN (Clifton, NJ) recorded the loss (1-2) with five strikeouts and four walks in 5 1/3 innings.

The Roadrunners will travel to Western Connecticut on Thursday, April 11th at 3:30 PM.
