Van Leeuwen earns the final NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week selection, his fifth weekly NJAC honor of the season, after traveling to Terre Haute, IN to compete at the NCAA Division III National Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He placed fifth in a field of 15 competitors in the pole vault with a mark of 4.92 meters. The 2008-09 NJAC Outstanding Male Field Athlete, Van Leeuwen earned All-American honors for his performance in Indiana.
