Almirante earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after posting 4-0 records in both singles and doubles play during a 4-0 week of team play for Ramapo. She first posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles and teamed with Jen Finaldi for an 8-0 win at third doubles in the Roadrunners’ 9-0 win over Manhattanville. She then collected a d 6-0, 6-1 win at fifth singles and teamed for an 8-2 win at third doubles in a 5-4 non-conference victory over Hunter. She posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at fifth singles and an 8-3 win at third doubles in the Roadrunners’ NJAC-opening 5-4 victory over Rutgers-Newark, before wrapping up the week with a 6-0, 6-1 win at fifth singles while teaming with Finaldi for an 8-2 win at third doubles in a 5-4 non-conference victory over Division II Adelphi. Almirante is one of two NJAC players currently undefeated on the season in fifth flight singles play.
