Hernandez earns the final NJAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week selection, his fourth of the season, after traveling to Winston-Salem, NC to compete at the NCAA Division III National Indoor Championships. In the first NCAA championship meet of his collegiate career, he earned All-American honors in the 800 meters by placing eighth in a field of 15 national competitors with a time of 1:55.91. The G. Larry James Most Outstanding Men’s Indoor Track Athlete also was a member of the Roadrunners’ distance medley relay which finished ninth in the nation with a time of 10:04.18. The performances by Hernandez helped Ramapo tie for 45th place overall in the 103-team NCAA national championship meet.
