Furman earns NJAC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second consecu- tive week after competing in Ramapo’s own Roadrunner Invitational. She placed first in a field of 26 competitors in the shot put with a school-record and an ECAC qualifying throw of 12.37 meters. She also placed first in a field of 30 competitors in the discus with a meet-record and an ECAC qualifying toss of 43.17 meters. Furman’s winning throw in the shot put currently ranks as the 33rd best mark in the event in all of NCAA Division III this season, while she continues to hold the second best national mark in the discus (44.74 meters).
