Furman earns NJAC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after traveling to Glassboro to compete at the NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She placed first in a field of 15 competitors in the hammer throw with an ECAC qualifying and conference-record mark of 48.97 meters. She also claimed first place in a field of 24 throwers in the shot put with an ECAC qualifying mark of 12.10 meters. She also claimed the NJAC crown in the discus by placing first in a field of 25 competitors with an ECAC qualifying throw of 42.47 meters. Her performance in the hammer throw currently ranks as the 31st best in NCAA Division III this season, while she continues to hold the fifth best national mark in the discus (45.13 meters). The winning performances by Furman helped the Roadrunners claim third place overall in the eight-team NJAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
