Shirkey collects her first NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honor and Ramapo’s third of the season after leading the Roadrunners in a 2-2 week. She averaged 2.33 digs and 6.75 assists per set, becoming the fourth Roadrunner in program history to eclipse the 1,500-assist mark. She tallied her 1,500th career assist against Stockton on Thursday night, and is now up to 1,571 after a total of 81 in four matches last week. She posted 29 assists in a win over Sage and 24 in a win over Wells, and added 20 against Stockton and eight against Kean. Shirkey also posted double-digit digs with 10 each against Stockton and Wells. She currently ranks seventh in the NJAC with 5.15 assists per set.
