Almirante earns the first NJAC Player of the Week honor after posting a 3-0 record in singles play and a 2-1 record in doubles during Ramapo’s 2-1 season-opening week. She opened her sophomore season by posting a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles while teaming with Alison Tukel for an 8-0 win at first doubles in a 9-0 victory over John Jay. She then posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles while teaming with Tukel for an 8-1 win at second doubles in a 9-0 victory over Cabrini. She wrapped up the week with a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles, while suffering an 8-2 defeat at second doubles in Ramapo’s 6-3 defeat to Moravian. Almirante currently is tied for the conference lead with three singles victories on the season.
