Coach Raza Baig begins his tenth season as head coach of the tennis programs at Ramapo College.
The women’s tennis team finished as in the New Jersey Athletic Conference runner up six times in program history (09-10, 10-11, 11-12, 13-14, 14-15, 15-16). Coach Baig was named the 2014 NJAC Women’s Coach of the Year while he guided Tamila Kadyer-Akhunova to the 2015 NJAC Rookie of the Year.
The men's tennis team have won the GNAC South regular season title the last seven seasons, 2013-2019 while they have won the GNAC Conference tournament six times in program history, 2013-2018. The Roadrunners made their fourth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2018. Coach Baig was named GNAC Coach of the Year, 2014-2015 & 2018. Additionally, Willen Feygin was a three-time recipient of the GNAC Men's Tennis Player of the year honor.
Coach Baig took over the tennis programs at Ramapo after serving as the Interim Head Coach for the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 seasons. Prior to serving in the interim position, Baig was an assistant coach with both programs for two years.
Coach Baig attended Allegheny College where he was a member of the tennis team in both singles and doubles play for three years. He is a certified professional certified by both the USPTA and the USNTA. Coach Baig has been teaching professionally for 13 years and is the owner of Game Set Match which conducts clinics and camps in the New Jersey area.
