Coach Lynn English begins her third season with the Roadrunners as a volunteer assistant coach under the direction of Head Coach Gary Orr.
Before coming to Ramapo, English was an assistant coach from 1980-1981 at Rutgers University. English has been teaching group lessons and competitive clinics at Spa 23 since 1986. She is the assistant swim coach to the Cougar Aquatic team based out of Montclair, NJ.
English earned All-American status during her time at Rutgers University from 1977-1980. She earned the honor in the 500 Free, 1,650, 200 IM, 100 & 200 Breaststroke, and the 400 & 800 Free Relay
She earned her bachelor's degree from Douglas College in 1980 before earning her master's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1985. She then furthered her education by earning her Masters of Science degree in teaching in 1991 from Montclair State University. English currently works as an adjunct professor at Montclair State in the Biology/Molecular Biology Department while she is the Director of the Weston Science Program, also at MSU. She also is on the faculty in the Montclair Public school system as a science teacher.
