Coach Courtney Caruso returns to her alma mater as an assistant coach of the men’s’ and women’s swim teams after competing with the program during the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 seasons. While attending and competing for Ramapo, Caruso became a key contributor to the revival of the College’s swim teams. With her assistance, competitive swimming came back to the college in the Fall of 2006. During her senior year, Caruso was named one of two female co-captains. She also served as the representative for the swim teams to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Caruso graduated with a degree in History and a certification in secondary education. Her commitment to the sport has provided many outlets for her coaching career as well as her ability to remain competitive and compete. During her tenure at Ramapo, Caruso was also an age group coach, ranging in skill levels from beginner to masters.
Caruso is thrilled to be a part of Ramapo’s swim program and its continual growth as a highly competitive team in the Metropolitan Conference.
She currently resides in Morristown, New Jersey and is a high school Social Studies teacher in Bergen County. She continues to challenge herself by competing in sprint triathlons.
