Becca Galarza returns to her alma mater for her first season as assistant coach of the Ramapo College Women’s Soccer team.
Coach Galarza wrapped up her playing career with the Roadrunners in 2015. A two-year starter for the team, she helped anchor the Ramapo defense. She started 31 games and played in 33 while she added two goals during her senior season. She earned back-to-back NJAC Honorable Mention All-Conference awards.
Prior to her time at Ramapo, Coach Galarza was a two-year member of the Ursinus Women’s Soccer team where she studied Exercise & Sport Science. She holds licenses as an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and as a W.I.T.S. Level 2 Certified Personal Trainer.
Coach Galarza has experience coaching as an assistant for the Middletown Soccer Club and as a Speed/Skill & Strength Trainer for Williams Sport Training, and will be joining the staff of the Jersey Knights Soccer Club as a part-time trainer in fall 2018.
Upon graduating from Ramapo College, Coach Galarza has worked for the Monmouth County Park System as the head soccer counselor of summer camps and as a lead instructor for the Kids Kixx soccer program. She has continued the pursuit of her passions for both soccer and writing, playing three seasons in the U-23 EDP Premier League post-graduation and having her poetry published in various literary magazines.
Coach Galarza graduated from Ramapo College with a degree in literature and a minor in creative writing.
