Abby Shiffler

Abby Shiffler enters her 14th season as the head coach of the Ramapo College women's soccer team.

Through the 2024 season the Roadrunners have earned 58 wins while 29 student-athletes have been named to the NJAC All-Conference team under Coach Shiffler’s guidance. A standout midfielder under Coach Shiffler, Autumn Herring was a four-time NJAC All-Conference honoree from 2012-2015. The program has two appearances in the NJAC Tournament (2013 & 2021) and the 2015 ECAC Tournament.

Shiffler began her coaching career with Fairleigh Dickinson University as an assistant coach for the 2007 season, before joining the staff at Caldwell College in 2008.  She spent 2009 training the goalkeepers at the University of Pennsylvania and served as an assistant coach for the University of Massachusetts during the 2010 season.

Shiffler was a four-year starter in goal for Monmouth University from 2001-2004.  She recorded 280 career saves, which ranks third on the Hawks Individual Career List while she holds a spot in the top ten lists in career shutouts, career GAA and career save percentage. Shiffler earned All-Northeast Conference Second Team honors as a freshman while receiving the team's Rookie of the Year award.  In 2002, Shiffler helped the Hawks advance to the final of the NEC Tournament while during her junior season she ranked second in the conference in both goals-against average and save percentage.

She is a 2005 graduate of Monmouth University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science.
