Abby Shiffler

Abby Shiffler enters her 12th season as the head coach of the Ramapo College women's soccer team.

The Roadrunners have had 26 players named to the NJAC All-Conference team during Shiffler’s tenure including four-time all-conference midfielder Autumn Herring. Under coach Shiffler’s direction, the team has made appearances in the 2013 & 2021 NJAC Tournaments and the 2015 ECAC Tournament.

Shiffler began her coaching career with Fairleigh Dickinson University as an assistant coach for the 2007 season, before joining the staff at Caldwell College in 2008.  Shiffler spent 2009 training the goalkeepers at the University of Pennsylvania, and most served as an assistant coach for the University of Massachusetts during the 2010 season.

Shiffler was a four-year starter in goal for Monmouth University from 2001-2004.  She recorded 280 career saves, which still ranks third on the program's all-time list.  Shiffler earned All-Northeast Conference Second Team honors as a freshman while receiving the team's Rookie of the Year award.  In 2002, Shiffler helped the Hawks advance to the final of the NEC Tournament, and as a junior, she ranked second in the conference in both goals-against average and save percentage.

She is a 2005 graduate of Monmouth University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science.  Shiffler resides in West Milford, NJ.
