Coach DJ Pinton enters his tenth year as an assistant coach for the men’s volleyball team. He was a two-year member of the team playing in 1998 and 1999. In his final season as a Roadrunner, he received Second Team All-NECVA honors and in the same year was named Most Valuable Player, while leading the team in kills, 338 (3.31/game) and digs, 188 (1.84/game).
Also during his time as a Roadrunner, Coach Pinton was a three-year member of the men’s soccer team. He left his mark as one of the top players in program history. The 1997 RCNJ Athlete of the Year, he also received First Team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors for two consecutive years in 1996 and 1997. In 1996 he was named to the All-Mid-Atlantic First Team and the All-State team in 1997. For his efforts, he was inducted into the Ramapo College Athletic Hall of Fame in April of 2006.
Coach Pinton graduated from Ramapo in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in business and a concentration in marketing. He also serves as the head coach to the men’s soccer team and is the Coordinator of Athletic Facilities and Budget Manager.
