Andrew Brown joined the men's volleyball coaching staff in 2013 after completing his first season as head coach at NCAA I Saint Peter's University with the women's volleyball program.
Brown is graduate of Ramapo College and was a two-year member of the men's volleyball team. During his senior season, he finished with a third best, 196 kills in 29 matches played. The Roadrunners earned their sixth straight appearance in the NECVA Conference Tournament along with an appearance in the ECAC Metro Championships; the team finished the 2011 season with a 18-13 overall record, 9-3 in NECVA Metro Conference.
He is also the boy's and girl's head volleyball coach at Montclair High School. In just his second season as the Montclair head boy’s volleyball coach, his team qualified for the state tournament. Brown also served as the junior varsity boy’s volleyball head coach and assistant girls volleyball coach in 2009 and 2010. Brown also coaches with the DIGS volleyball club, 16-white, 15-blue and white teams along with the "Little Spikes" 12-under teams.
Coach Brown had the honor of playing for Team USA in the Pan American Maccabi games, where he started as outside hitter and helped lead the team to a five-set victory against host Brazil to win the gold. He will have the oppourunity to travel to Israel this summer of the 19th Maccabiah Games. Brown also participates in Great American Volleyball and East End Beach Volleyball tournaments in the summer.
Coach Brown earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Digital Filmmaking while at Ramapo. Brown is currently USA Volleyball CAP Level I certified.
He resides in Montlcair, NJ.
