Coach Ken Goglas enters his second season as cross country coordinator and third season as assistant men’s and women’s track and field coach at Ramapo College.

A native of Randolph, New Jersey, he has returned to the Garden State after coaching at Georgia State, James Madison, Brevard College and The University of Texas. Most recently, Goglas was a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Texas, and while in Austin he had the opportunity to work as a coach with the Saudi Arabian National Team.

With experience at the division I and division II level, men and women, middle distance and distance runners, world class runners and conference champions, he brings a wealth of experience with him to Ramapo.

During the 2011 outdoor track and field season, Goglas helped Andrew Capizzi to an NJAC championship in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a school-record time. He was also a major part the progress of Colin English, who had personal bests in both the Mile and 800. Coach Goglas was able to do all of this after being hired in January of 2011.

As an athlete, Coach Goglas was a five time individual scorer at the Big East Track and Field Championships at the University of Connecticut and a captain of the cross country team. He was a member of three Big East championship teams during his time there.

In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Goglas is taking classes at Ramapo for a teaching certification.
