Dillon Rodgers enters his sixth season as an assistant coach with the Roadrunner Track & Field team.
Rodgers graduated from Ramapo College in 2013 and is a four-time NCAA National Qualifier in the javelin. Holds the school record in the javelin with a mark of 66.73-meters (218’ 11”) set during the 2012 season. He won the NJAC and ECAC Championships in the javelin and earned NCAA All-American in 2012 when he placed 3rd at NCAA Nationals. He was named NJAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year following the 2012 NJAC Championships.
Rodgers has guided three athletes to the NCAA Championships. Alexis Appezzato was a three-time NCAA Qualifier and became the 2014 NCAA Javelin Champion with a school record 47.96-meters (157’ 4”). Taylor Furman was a two-time NCAA Championship qualifier and earned NCAA All-American in the discus in 2013 with a third place finish with a school record mark of 45.23-meters (148’ 4”). Furman also won several NJAC and ECAC Championships in the discus; shot put and hammer throw during her career. During the 2016 season, Coach Rodgers helped guide Michael Begen to a sixth place finish at the NCAA Championships as he earned NCAA All-American in the javelin with a mark of 61.16-meters (200’ 8”) a PR for Begen. During the 2017 season, Rodgers coached the #1 ranked men’s javelin team in NCAA Division III in the country – taking the top four javelin throwers best marks from the season and their average distance.
2018-2019 Season
