Ackeme Brown

Coach Ackeme Brown enters his seventh season on the Roadrunner coaching staff and his first year as a full time assistant coach starting with the 2022-2023 season. Coach Brown works primarily with the sprinters.
 
Brown has coached multiple noteworthy athletes including 5x NCAA All-American, and two-time NCAA Indoor Champion, Cheickna Traore. Traore holds virtually all of the Ramapo College indoor and outdoor sprint records, he also holds NCAA Division III National records in the indoor and outdoor 200m with times of 20.72 seconds and 20.49 respectively. Traore set those two records one week apart, the indoor record he set to become the 200m NCAA Indoor Champion and the outdoor record he set exactly seven days later at the Miami University Outdoor Invitational  He also holds the NCAA Division III record in the indoor 300m with a time of 33.64 seconds. Gbarper Dwah has qualified for the indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships and set multiple school records including the Ramapo College indoor program records in the 60m, 200m while she is currently third all-time in the 300m. Dwah also holds the outdoor program records in the 100m and is third all-time in the 200m. Dwah was named NJAC Indoor Outstanding Track Athlete following the 2022-2023 NJAC Championships where she won the 60m dash and was NJAC Runner-Up in the 200m dash.
 
Brown set multiple track records while a two-year member of the Ramapo track & field team from 2011-2013. He still holds the indoor 60-meter dash record (6.89) and indoor 200-meter dash record (21.93), which he set during the 2012 season. He also holds the outdoor 100-meter record (10.64), outdoor 200-meter record (21.57), and the long jump record (7.05-meters). Coach Brown was the anchor leg of the 4x100-meter relay team and 4x200-meter relay team, which holds school records with times of 41.04 seconds and 1:28.92 respectively. He was the lead-off leg of the indoor 4x200-meter relay team, which set the school record in 2012 in 1:30.15.
