Coach Garrett Kroner enters his fifth year on the Roadrunner coaching staff and his third year assisting with cross country. Coach Kroner assists with the sprints and relays, and has a special focus on long sprinters. He was integral in the growth of Amber Updike and Rachel Herrick, who ran personal bests in 2013, and qualified individually for ECAC Championships. Updike was also the runner up in the 800 at NJAC Championships this past outdoor season.
Coach Kroner graduated from Villanova University in 2010 with a degree in History and recently earned is Masters in Teaching and Dual Certification in Special Education and Social Studies from Montclair State University.
Kroner comes to Ramapo after a stellar career at Villanova. He was a Big East 400-meter finalist while running the 400-meter leg of the distance medley relay at the Penn Relay Championship of America during the 2008 season. In his senior season in 2010 he ran the 400-meter leg of the distance medley relay, which was an indoor NCAA Qualifier.
