Coach Michelle Moat enters her third season at the helm of the Ramapo College Cheer Team.
She began her coaching career in 2010 at the varsity level serving most recently as the head coach at Mary Help of Christians Academy, sister school to Don Bosco Prep, from 2010-2017. During the 2017-2018 competition season Coach Moat brought the Elmwood Park High School competition team to win Grand National Champions. Her coaching career expanded as she coached alongside her mother, Debbie Moat, as the head coach of the cheer team for the Don Bosco Prep football program. Previously, Moat was the assistant coach at Waldwick High School during the 2011-2012 season with her former cheer coach, Liz Cericola.
Coach Moat has run multiple successful cheerleading competitions, as well as, choreographed various routines for football, basketball and competition.
Her favorite quote: "I want to inspire people. I want someone to look at me and say 'because of you, I didn't give up.'"
