Coach TJ Ward joins the Ramapo College coaching staff for the 2019 season.
Coach Ward is a recent graduate of the University of Hartford where he played both third base and first base. During the 2018 season, the Hawks won their first-ever America East Conference title and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. A two-year captain, he was also named AEC First Team All-Conference following the 2016 & 2018 seasons while also earning All-Academic Team.
Following graduation, Coach Ward signed to play professionally with the United Shore Professional Baseball League for the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers. He joined the team midway through the season and recorded a .323 batting average while helping the squad to a league championship. Coach Ward is signed to play with the Beavers through the 2019 season.
Coach Ward graduated from St. Peter’s Prep in 2014 and helped lead the team to the 2013 Hudson County Title. He was named 2013 & 2014 Hudson County Player of the Year, 2014 First Team All-State and 2014 North Jersey Player of the Year while leading the team at the plate and as the team’s shortstop.
Coach Ward graduated from Hartford with a BA in Mathematics and Secondary Education.
