Coach Ryan Rinsky returns to his alma mater after being named Associate Head Coach for the 2019 season. Rinsky and former teammate Walker Larson will team up as co-head coaches.

A four-year (2013-2016) standout for the Roadrunners behind the plate, Rinsky helped lead Ramapo to 119 wins including a 2015 NCAA New England Regional Championship and a 2016 NJAC Championship. The Roadrunners also advanced to the 2015 NCAA Division III World Series while they recorded three 30 or more win seasons and made three appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

During his career at Ramapo he collected 89 hits including 14 doubles and two home runs while driving in 50 RBI and scoring 58 runs of his own. He recorded a career .232 batting average and a career on base percentage of .400. He drew 76 walks and 36 hit by pitches. Behind the plate he threw out 66 runners attempting to steal and posted 815 career putouts and 143 career assists.

Coach Rinsky, who was named to the NCAA New England All-Tournament Team, signed a professional baseball contract with the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League in 2017 and will continue his career with the Freedom in the summer of 2019. He’s played in 73 games with the Freedom collecting 31 hits including three doubles and one home run. Coach Rinsky has driven in 22 RBI and scored 22 runs. Behind the plate last season he posted 292 putouts and 15 assists in 41 games played.

Before returning to Ramapo, Coach Rinsky has been a catching instructor for the New Jersey Nationals travel ball program for the past five years.
