Doug Aday enters his fifth season on the Roadrunner coaching staff. Aday will serve as the Recruiting Coordinator and Position Player Coach for the Roadrunner program. 

In 2011, the Roadrunners posted a 30-14 overall record and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. It was the first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1988, for Ramapo.  Ramapo followed up the 2011 season by tying a school record 35 wins in 2012 and 30 wins in 2013.  Ramapo has reached the NJAC Championship game in two consecutive seasons, and have made 3 consecutive trips to the NCAA tournament, reaching the Regional Championship game in 2012.

Over the past 5 years, Aday has mentored 9 NJAC All-Conference players, 4 Mid-Atlantic All-Region players, and one Rawlings All-American.  In addition, Ramapo has set a school record in fielding percentage (.964) and an NCAA record in sacrifice bunts (92) in a season, while under Aday’s tutelage.

Coach Aday was a four-year member of the Ramapo College Baseball team from 2001-2005. During his tenure at Ramapo, Aday served as captain of the program. During his senior year, he became the school’s All-Time career leader in doubles (62), RBI (150), and hits (222). He also finished his career ranked in the Top 10 in virtually every offensive category. Aday also holds the single season record for doubles (21) in a season. Coach Aday was a two-time All-NJAC performer, two-time NJCBA performer. He also was a two-time Rawlings Mid-Atlantic Regional All-American member, and two-time Team MVP during his time at Ramapo.  Aday was recently inducted into the Ramapo College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013.

From 2005-2010 Coach Aday was coaching and teaching in the Kansas City, MO area. Coach Aday teaches special education at Ridgewood High School and currently resides in Bloomingdale, NJ with his wife Casey.
