Question #1: What are the hours of operation?

Question #2: What areas of the Bradley Center are included in the membership?
Answer: Members can use the fitness center, climbing wall, pool, auxiliary gym, and game room. Please be aware that children under 16 are not eligible for fitness center or climbing wall use. All children under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian while using all areas of the Center.
Question #3: What do I need to enter the facility each day?
Answer: All members including faculty, staff, and students must have a validated and activated ID to enter. Faculty, staff, and students please update your semester sticker at the Security Office.
Question #4: Are retired faculty and staff members eligible for free memberships?
Answer: Yes – Effective July 1, 2017 memberships are free for faculty, staff, adjuncts and retirees.
Question #5: Can Bradley Center member's bring guests?
Answer: Yes - Members may sign in occasional guests at a charge of $5.00 per use. Guests CAN NOT use the facility without being accompanied by a Bradley Center Member.
Question #6: Will there be memberships limited to specific areas of the Bradley Center such as the pool of fitness center?
Answer: No – Tracking use in that way is not possible given staffing limitations.
Question #7: Will there be specific hours of use reserved just for faculty and staff?
Answer: No – Student tuition and fees are largely paying for the operating costs so access will be open.
Question #8: Will I need a separate membership card for the Bradley Center if I work at Ramapo?
Answer: No - Your College ID will be validated after you sign up to become a member.
Question #9: Are there age limitations for the Bradley Center?
Answer: Yes – The fitness center is limited to those 18 years and older. Persons with significant health problems should consult with their physicians before beginning strenuous exercise. Special programs may have different limitations. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult member at all times.
Question #10: Will students pay any fees?
Answer: No – Student fees cover student use. All students paying mandated fees are automatically members once their IDs are validated.
Question #11: When will memberships for faculty and staff begin?
Answer: Memberships are valid for one year from the date of sign-up.
Question #12: Will the Bradley Center be open everyday?
Answer: No – The Center will be closed when the college is officially closed. This includes the December holiday break, Thanksgiving weekend and other holidays when there are no classes. The Center may also be closed for special events and occasions. The Center is also closed for a short period in August when no classes are held and the varsity teams are in their pre-season.
Question #13: What areas of the Bradley Center are not included in a membership?
Answer: The classroom, offices, team and officials’ locker rooms, computer lab, skybox, and other areas needed for official College classes and activities.
Question #14: How will we know what facilities are specifically available on any given day?
Answer: Please see "Facilities" page to see specific hours of operation and facility closings.
Question #15: Is the use of a locker included in the membership price?
Answer: Yes – However, locker space is limited. We cannot guarantee a full size locker or that a locker will be available. Lockers will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis for the one-year period of your membership.
Question #16: Are any outdoor facilities included in a membership?
Answer: No – Except for recreational use of the outdoor track and tennis courts when not used by our athletic teams.
Question #17: How are family members defined for purposes of membership?
Answer: Family is described the same way as the state benefits program.
Question #18: Will there be separate equipment charges?
Answer: No – However, you must sign out equipment for use in the game room and auxiliary gym at the Welcome Desk.
Question #19: Can I shower in the facility?
Answer: Yes – In the rehabilitated “old section” of the gym. However we do not provide toiletries, (e.g. towels, soap, shampoo).
Question #20: Must I sign a liability waiver to use the basketball court?
Answer: No – However, you must sign an “understanding of risks” memorandum when applying for your membership.
Question #21: If I want to pay my membership one time by cash or check, how do I do this?
Answer: When applying for a membership you will be asked for the membership fee in full and can pay by cash or check.
Question #22: Can I buy a multi-year membership?
Answer: No – All memberships will be on a yearly basis.
Question #23: Can my membership be revoked?
Answer: Yes – For demonstrating conduct that is dangerous or disruptive to normal College functions or for failure to pay necessary fees. No refunds will be given if this occurs.
Question #24: Can faculty and staff bring a guest?
Answer: Yes – Faculty and staff can bring one guest per day for a $5.00 guest fee.
