Mahwah, NJ: The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced the 2026 NJAC Baseball All-Conference Team where five Roadrunners were named to the squad.
Braden Schappert highlights Ramapo's selections as he was named NJAC Baseball Rookie of the Year. All selections were made via a vote of the league's 10 head coaches and were based on conference-only statistics.
Schappert was also named NJAC First Team All-Conference. In his first season with the Roadrunners, he posted a .392 in-conference batting average while he was tied for second in hits with 29. Schappert, who started all 18 NJAC games, collected 16 runs, 19 RBI and three doubles while he finished 4-5 in stolen bases. He posted an .432 slugging percentage and a .447 on base percentage. On defense at shortstop, he recorded 24 putouts and 60 assists and helped turn 11 double plays.
John Hacker was named NJAC First Team All-Conference after finishing tied for the best in-league record at 4-0 overall. He led the NJAC with a 1.91 ERA with five complete games including 29 strikeouts in 33 innings pitched. Hacker surrendered just two extra base hits in league play along with just seven earned runs.
Nick Pellegrino,
Eric Knapp and
Brandon Tauber were all named NJAC Second Team All-Conference for the first time in their careers. Pellegrino posted a .333 batting average with 24 hits including eight doubles, one triple and three home runs. He drove in 15 RBI and scored 17 runs while finishing 5-5 in stolen bases. Knapp finished second in league play with a .436 batting average as he belted out 24 hits including six doubles, one tiple and one home run. He tallied 18 RBI and scored 17 runs and finished 3-3 in stolen bases. Tauber hit .379 in league play with 22 hits including one double and one triple. He finished 10th in NJAC action with 20 RBI while he scored nine runs and also finished 3-3 in stolen bases.
