New York, NY: Members of the Ramapo College men's indoor track & field team competed at the Scarlet Knights Open hosted by Rutgers University at the New York Amory. The Roadrunners competed against a field of NCAA D1, II and III teams.
The 4x400m relay team placed third overall with a combined time of 3:27.86. The team was made up of
Mark Shinkorenko,
Jorge Gomez Garza,
John Swaney,
Jordan Hart. Four Roadrunners competed in the 60m dash College prelims as
Wander Dilone clocked in at 7.07 seconds to place 12th overall. Marco Bozza Caballero posted a time of 7.13 seconds while
Kevin Ortiz and Darnelsen Romain recorded times of 7.21 seconds and 7.24 seconds respectively. In the 400m race, Hart and Shinkorenko posted times of 51.15 seconds (13th place) and 51.18 seconds respectively. In the 800m race,
John Swaney placed 13th overall in 1:58.32 while Gomez Garza clocked in at 2:00.23.
On the women's side,
Ashley Gordon posted a time of 8.09 seconds in the 60m dash College prelims.
The full squad returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 14th when they travel back to the New York Armory to compete in the NYU DIII Invitational.
