Bethlehem, PA: The Ramapo College men's indoor track and field team completed at the Hounds Indoor Classic this afternoon hosted by Moravian University at the Lehigh University Rauch Fieldhouse.
The 4x400m relay team won the event when they clocked in with a combined time of 3:30.54. The team was made up of
Jordan Hart,
Logan Natale,
Jaycen Peterson and
Mark Shinkorenko. Samuel Thomas finished fourth in the 60m dash finals when he qualified for the AARTFC meet later this season in 6.99 seconds.
Wander Dilone placed 7th in the same event in 7.08 seconds. Thomas also grabbed a third-place finish in the 200m race when he clocked in at 22.91 seconds. In the 400m race, Natale clocked in at 51.98 seconds as he finished in fourth place overall.
Jorge Gomez Garza also placed fourth overall in the 800m race when he crossed in 2:02.61.
Ryan Pena was the top Ramapo finisher in the mile with a time of 4:23.79 while
Sebastian Herrera grabbed the 10th spot in 4:32.81.
Matt Reed put up a time of 9:20.68 in the 3k for an eighth-place finish while
Ben Zelasco finished seventh in the 60m hurdle finals in 9.25 seconds. The DMR team finished in fifth-place overall with a combined time of 11:01.92. The team was made up of Herrera,
Robert Cassavell,
Alexander Jimenez and
Brian Metz. In the field events, Ramapo went 3-4 in the high jump.
Zal Charles finished third when he cleared 1.88m while Zelasco finished fourth when he cleared 1.83m.
The Roadrunners return to the track on Friday, Jan. 30th when they travel to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex for the MET Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet is set to begin at 10:00 AM.
