Mahwah, NJ: The #2 Ramapo College men's basketball team took down #3 Stockton University tonight to advance to the NJAC Championship game, 88-81. The Roadrunners earn their 20th win of the season and move to 20-5 overall while the Ospreys move to 19-8 overall.

Peter Gorman sank a three-pointer to open the game before Stockton drained a three-pointer of her own. The Ospreys pushed the score to a 10-point lead with 13:01 on the clock on a layup from Eriq Campbell before Gorman started a 10-2 run to cut the lead to two. Gorman put in three more points while
Branden Moore tallied three and
Justin Bladen two as they pulled within two with 10:16 remaining in the first. Matthews-Spratley then scored three straight three-pointers to extend their lead, 31-11 with 8:24 on the clock. Ramapo went on a 9-0 run to tie the game at 31 with less than seven remaining.
Jordan Myers scored on a layup with 3:20 remaining as the Roadrunners finished the half on a 11-4 run to take a 46-41 lead at halftime.
Anthony Corbo drained a three-pointer to start the second before the Ospreys matched that with a three of their own. An 11-6 Ramapo run was capped off with a three-pointer from Gorman to give them a 12-point lead, 69-57. The Roadrunners took their biggest lead with 8:52 on the clock on a layup from Myers, 72-59. Ramapo poured in 22 points in the final 8:36 of the game including 12-18 from the free throws as they posted an 88-81 victory on
Chuck McBreen Court.
Gorman finished with three three-pointers while he was perfect from the free throw line (13-13) to lead the team with 30 points. Corbo added 16 points, five rebounds and three steals while Rooney posted a double double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. Bladen was the fourth Roadrunner to score in double figures with 12 points while he added three assists and two steals. Ramapo shot 43% (23-60) from the floor, 31% (6-19) from the three-point line and 75% (30-40).
Matthews-Spartley led the Ospreys with 28 points while Campbell posted 22. Christian Armstrong-Thomas led the way with 12 points and ten points. The team shot 44% (28-63) from the field, 37% (11-29) from the three-point line and 63% (14-22) from the free throw line.
