Mahwah, NJ: The Rowan University men's soccer team defeated Ramapo College today in NJAC action, 4-1. The Profs, who received votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25, improved to 11-3-4 overall, 4-2-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners moved to 9-7-1 overall and 2-6 in the league.
Johnny Troiano scored the Profs first goal of the game off a pass from Luke McNamee in the 25th minute of the first half. Rowan would add three goals in the second half to extend their lead, 4-1. Ryan Gale tallied his first goal of the season in the 78th minute before the Profs were awarded a penalty kick in the 79th minute. Troiano would convert for his 16th goal of the year before Cam Lamptey tallied his first of the season (85:18) for a 4-0 lead. The Roadrunners were awarded a penalty kick in the 90th minute (89:15) as
Gavin Mullin hit the back of the net for his second career goal on senior day. Rowan posted 21 shots in the game including eight on goal while they recorded five corner kicks. The Roadrunners tallied nine shots including five on goal while they posted two corner kicks.
