Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team earned a win over Baruch College today at the Adele & Reuben Thomas Pool, 140-122. The Roadrunners open up dual meet action with a 1-0 overall record while the Bearcats open the season at 0-1 overall.
The 200-medley relay team earned a first-place finish when they recorded a combined time of 1:43.03. The team was made up of Joseph Swede,
Anthony Chiu,
Doruk Evcimen and
Tyler Finkle. Individually,
Adam Wright won three events in the meet. He took first in 100 freestyle (10:37.76), 200 fly (2:04.24) and the 500 free in 5:26.72.
AJ Guevara placed third in 200 fly with a time of 2:16.98 while Finkle finished second in 200 freestyle (1:54.11) and second in the 50 free (23.44 seconds). Swede took a first-place finish in the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.16 while he placed third overall in the 200 breaststroke in 2:25.10. Evcimen also won three events individually: 200 freestyle (1:48.47), 100 free (48.16 seconds) and first in 100 fly in 53.85 seconds. Chiu finished tied for first-place in the 200 IM in 2:10.70 while he grabbed a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke in 2:25.04.
Ramapo returns to action on October 25th when they host Hartwick College at 2:00 PM.
