New Paltz, NY: The Ramapo College men's swimming team defeated New Paltz today on the road, 138-111. The Roadrunners move to 2-3 overall while the Hawks now stand at 1-3 on the year.
Doruk Evcimen won the 1,000 free in 10:22.59 while
Sean Robinson posted a second-place finish in 10:23.62. Evcimen also won the 100 free when he clocked in at 49.35 seconds. In the 200 free,
Adam Wright and
Tyler Finkle finished back-to-back in 1:56.59 and 1:58.28 respectively. Joseph Swede won the 100 breaststroke (1:03.46) while Wright posted his second win of the day in the 200 fly in 2:04.02 while
AJ Guevara finished in second (2:18.11). Robinson won the 500 free as he touched the wall in 5:21.33 while Finkle posted a second-place finish in 5:23.72. To wrap up the meet, the 200 free relay team recorded a win with a combined time of 1:33.31. The team was made up of Swede,
Ian Ziomek, Wright and Evcimen.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Widener University on Saturday, Jan. 25th at 2:00 pm. The team will also honor their senior class prior to the meet.
