Ewing, NJ: The College of New Jersey softball team used a late rally to defeat Ramapo College in the second round of the NJAC Tournament, 7-3. The Lions move to 27-9 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 30-11-1.

The Lions advance to game seven of the tournament and will take on #1 Rowan University at 11:00am on Friday, the winner will advance to the Championship game on Saturday. The Roadrunners will take on #5 Kean University at 1:00pm on Friday afternoon in game eight. The winner of game seven and the winner of game eight moves onto game nine at 3:00pm on Friday, with the winner of that game advancing to Saturday's championship game.

TCNJ scored one run in the first and one run in the second to take a 2-0 lead before Ramapo got on the board with a run in the top of the fourth inning.
Avery Bartolomeo hit her team-leading 7th home run of the season to cut the Lion lead in half, 1-2. In the fifth, Camryn Kitchin hit a solo home run for the Lions to give them a 3-1 lead. Ramapo would come back in the sixth as they loaded the bases with two outs.
Alex Hastings came up big with a hard hit single back up the middle as pinch runner
Lia Milsom and
Avery Kontura scored to tie the game, 3-3. TCNJ would come back with four runs in the sixth to take the lead, 7-3.

Brooke Knight (0-1), who entered the game in the second inning with a runner on first, suffered the loss for the Roadrunners. She struck out five, walked five and let up seven hits and five runs.

The Lions held the Roadrunners to just four hits in the game. Elizabeth Gosse started in the circle and went 4.2 innings as she struck out one, walked one and let up three hits and one run scored. Ally Schlee (4-3) earned the win in relief as she worked the final 2.1 innings. She walked three and let up just one hit and two runs scored.
