Pittsford, NY: Senior Cheickna Traore won the 200m dash at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a NCAA Division III record time of 20.25 seconds. 

Traore was crowned NCAA Champion for the third time in his career with his historic win in the 200m race. Traore's time also lowers his school record. In the 100m dash finals, he clocked in with a blistering time of 10.18 seconds and earned NCAA Runner-Up. The time also lowers his school record in the 100m and is tied for #2 all-time in NCAA D3. This outdoor season, Traore qualified for three events for the D3 Championships (100m, 200m, 400m) and elected to run the 100m and 200m races. 

Traore wraps up his amazing career at Ramapo earning two more NCAA All-American honors, giving him seven overall. He holds every sprint record in program history, the NCAA D3 All-Time Indoor & Outdoor 200m records, tied for 2nd All-Time in NCAA D3 in the outdoor 100m, #2 All-Time NCAA indoor 400m and #18 All-Time NCAA outdoor 400m.
