Auburndale, FL: The Ohio Northern University baseball team shutout Ramapo College today in the Roadrunners final game at the RussMatt Invitational, 6-0. The Polar Bears improve to 10-5 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 7-5 on the year.
Ohio Northern scored two runs in the first inning for a quick 2-0 lead before they added four unearned runs during the remainder of the game for a 6-0 lead. The Polar Bears pitching staff held the Roadrunners to just three hits in the nine inning game while ONU collected ten of their own. Jack Hutchins moved to 3-0 on the mound this season for ONU with five strikeouts, four walks in 5.2 innings of work while he let up just two hits.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, March 21st when they travel to Centenary University for a non-conference game at 3:30pm.
