Davenport, FL: The Anderson University baseball team defeated Ramapo College in an eight-inning run rule game, 10-0. The Ravens move to 7-5 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 6-2 overall.
Anderson starting pitcher Landen Southern (1-1) struck out 14 and let up just two hits in seven innings of work. C.J. Williams worked the eight and did not give up a hit and faced three batters. In the second inning, Griffin Wolf hit a solo home run to put the Ravens on the board before a Connor Gordo single drove home Trey Dorton for a 2-0 lead. Anderson added one run in the third, two in the fifth and one run in the sixth before they added three in the seventh. The 10th run of the game came in the eighth inning for the ten-run rule to come into play.
Brian Baranok and
Matt Lalomia each collected one hit for the Roadrunners.
James Pazdera started his first game on the mound for Ramapo as he struck out six, walked one and surrendered six hits and five runs in 4.1 innings of work.
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday, March 17th when they take on the College of St. Scholastica at 1pm.
